The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an action-adventure game from Nintendo. I’m about eight hours into my adventure currently. Before starting Link’s new adventure, I had doubts that this sequel could rival its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, but I think I’ve been proven wrong. The highlight of Links's original adventure is the sense of discovery and freedom that the game provides. This title expands on that feeling with new abilities like Ultrahand and Fuse, allowing you to create nearly anything your mind can think up. While I mostly made cars and flying machines, there were a lot of tools provided, and I feel that the only thing holding me back is my imagination. Sometimes my Ultrahand masterpieces rocketed off into the sky without me or surprised me by completely failing to work as I originally expected them to. Each time this has happened, I can’t help but let out a chuckle and brush it off with an “oh well, guess I’ll try…” and a smile. ...

Death or Treat Quick Review

Developer: Saona Studios Publisher: Perp Games Release: May 11th, 2023 Reviewed on: PC Also on: PS4 (2023), PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch (2023) By: Evan1Sonic. Death or Treat is a neat little adventure. This action roguelike game, has you controlling Scary a local candy manufacturer that sets out to save HallowTown from a malicious CEO. A great art style that reminds me of The Nightmare Before Christmas, handpainted environments, as well as animated cutscenes all make this title a beauty. On top of looking top-notch your journey is full of parody corporation names like FaceBoo that are goofy and along with the dialog’s light humor help lighten the game’s vibe. The gameplay while not feeling that tight to perform provides a challenge whenever a boss enters the equation. Slightly rough controls and little happening in the sound department are other disappointments. A plethora of upgrades as well as your choice of weapon and special ability however are great and really...

What Ya Playing Wednesday By: Evan1Sonic. It's Wednesday, which means it's time to talk about the games you and I have played over the past week. More information about where to send your submissions to be featured in the series will be at the bottom of this post. This week I've been playing Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, Octopath Traveler 2, Redfall, Minecraft Legends, and finished High on Life. This What Ya Playing is a shorter speedrun version of the usual format. Quick Play takes over this week's What Ya Playing, which means it's time to share my short thoughts on some games I’ve been playing lately. Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. After just over four hours, I’ve been having a mostly good time. The souls-like combat and story are both amazing, but there are a lot of technical issues that, while they don’t ruin the game, can’t be easily ignored. Some crashes, a lot of pop in, and some other minor bugs occurred during my time with the game. This sequel is fantast...
